Summer at Sunbridge

The Sunbridge Summer Experience Campus & Community The Sunbridge Institute campus offers its summer visitors the opportunity to become part of an unusual learning and living community. The campus is located 30 miles northwest of Manhattan, on 200 acres of land surrounded by beautiful gardens, orchards, and woodlands. The campus is part of the Threefold Educational Center, a community of institutions based on the work of Rudolf Steiner: a K-12 Waldorf school, a school for artistic and therapeutic movement, a center for biodynamic gardening and environmental education, a health food co-op and the Threefold Foundation, which acts as trustee of the land and provides affordable housing for community members. Lodging & Meals We have dormitories available on campus as well as housing in the community just a short walk from classes. Dormitories are equipped with kitchen facilities and the Hungry Hollow Co-op is just a short walk from campus. On campus, you'll find  Threefold Café and Chef Anthony LoPinto which offer delicious and affordable meals throughout the summer months for busy students and the wider community. Evening Coffee Cafes Join us on select nights for desserts and coffee and enjoy live music, poetry reading, and good company. Coffee Cafes will be held in the Main House dining rooms. Youth Programs & Activities There are many nearby options for children's summer programs and activities, which we have listed below. The Nature Place Day Camp A small non-competitive nature oriented camp for children ages 4-15. The Outdoor Lesson at the Pfeiffer Center A hands-on garden, farm and forest experience for children ages 6-12. Green Meadow Waldorf School's Play, Picnic & Pond and Summer Farm Days Flexible schedule, drop In available, for children ages 3 and up and 4-6 respectively. Threefold Pond Located directly across the street from Sunbridge, open daily.
