Registrar
Student records and school licensing

Part time Position - exempt - no benefits
15 hours per week - $15,000 per year
Responsibilities:
The Registrar is responsible for managing, overseeing and troubleshooting all aspects of student registration and student files. She/he is the contact person for currently enrolled students and for alumni seeking to obtain records of their time at Sunbridge. She/he communicates frequently with current and past faculty around any issues pertaining to student transcripts.
The Registrar is responsible for the Institute’s compliance and licensure with the State of New York and with AWSNA (Association of Waldorf Schools in North America) and the maintenance of those records.
The Registrar reports directly to the Executive Director. The Sunbridge team works in a highly collaborative manner, with decisions being advised and prepared at the team level. Proactive troubleshooting, problem solving and high accountability are part of the team culture and expected.
Participation at staff meetings and other meetings with staff and faculty is required.
Hours
Due to the nature of the work, a physical presence during office hours is necessary. During registration and when courses are running there may be some evening and/or weekend hours.
The Registrar supervises a 10 hour per week assistant who is primarily responsible for tracking transcript requests and student files.
Tasks
• Manage and issue incoming requests for transcripts, and copies of diplomas and certificates.
• Prepare the certificates and diplomas for student graduation.
• Oversee and manage licensing requirements and maintain compliance with official licensing bodies.
• Keep a comprehensive calendar of all licensing processes, including renewal dates and paperwork.
• Work directly with Program Directors and staff to maintain compliance, create attendance sheets and progress records.
• Implement and maintain student filing in compliance with licensing bodies.
• Manage registration process for all incoming and transfer students.
• Attend first day of classes for each program and have students sign registration sheets.
• Filing and maintaining all student records.
Minimum requirements and sought-after profile

• Self-starter who is detail oriented and flexible
• Team player who enjoys working in a highly collaborative and participative atmosphere
• Brings a high level of professionalism to the position, including discretion and ability to hold significant confidentiality
• Excellent communication skills needed to interact with Sunbridge constituents (current students, graduates, program directors, finance, admissions)
• Significant experience with computer software and standard academic record- keeping processes as well as significant experience with record-keeping systems and databases
• Ability to prioritize projects and manage a large volume of work
• Excellent skills with Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Access)
• Takes an interest in navigating the intricacies of the computer and technological world
• Experience building processes and procedures from start-up to implementation, especially regarding documentation of student activities
• Associates or bachelor degree; 2-4 years of college experience
• Educational environment experience preferred
