This course introduces practitioners and parents to the unfolding world of infants and toddlers through insights based on the anthroposophical picture of the human being and the teachings of the renowned Pikler Institute. Find out how newborns begin to experience the world after birth, how they form important relationships, and how children through age three learn to move. Discover new approaches toward childcare through discussions, Spacial Dynamics, and your own physical experience of moving like a young child. This look at child development from a physical, social, and spiritual perspective will enhance a lifetime of learning and working with young children.
Instructor Susan Weber is Director of Sophia’s Hearth Family Center, where she directs the “The Child in the First Three Years” training program and leads “Joyful Beginnings” parent-infant playgroups.
