Sunbridge is excited to welcome Uli Stuerznickel of the Santa Fe Waldorf School as our guest instructor for our March Waldorf Weekend.
Uli was a Waldorf class teacher for 11 years before becoming a Waldorf middle school and high school math specialist. Her teaching is inspired by Rudolf Steiner’s indications for developmental stages in childhood and by her passion for mathematics. She has had the opportunity to research curriculum aspects in mathematics, especially in geometry, from the German Waldorf curriculum, and she uses creative and experiential aspects to bring the curriculum alive. Uli has taught mathematics as an adjunct faculty member at the Rudolf Steiner College and serves the Association of Waldorf Schools of North America as a Leadership Council representative and regional chair. She has a BA in Elementary Education from Prescott College and a Waldorf Teacher Certificate from Antioch University New England.
Sunbridge Waldorf Weekends are experiential workshops on Waldorf Education. They are especially relevant for new and prospective Waldorf parents, teachers, staff and board members. Each workshop includes an exploration into Rudolf Steiner’s insights in human development and the anthroposophical underpinnings of the Waldorf impulse, plus hands-on artistic explorations, plenty of discussion, and time for questions and answers. Through the lens of Geometry, this Weekend will look at ways that Waldorf Education supports the developing human being.
